Edward Singleton is a web developer and designer at Bastion TLG. He earned a major degree in Journalism and a minor degree in website technologies from California State University, Long Beach. His photography and design work has been featured in publications such as Los Angeles Magazine, Dig Magazine, and The Daily 49er. While at his time in college he realized that he had a passion for website development after taking an introductory programming course in Python. Considering his background with magazine and newspaper design, he felt that website design and development would be the perfect fit for his already existing design skillset.
“I remember creating my first website. It was for a small bar in Santa Monica called Brennan’s Pub. This bar was the only place in town that had turtle racing nights every Thursday. I remember being so engaged and enamored with this project that minutes seem to fly by. The final result was a very green, albeit basic, website featuring a racing turtle. That’s when I knew that I had finally discovered something I really enjoy doing…”
Edward lives in South Gate and is an active community member. He host’s networking events at the South Gate Chamber of Commerce to promote the development of young professionals seeking to break into the technology sector. He is married to his lovely wife, Andrea and they have two dogs together, Simon and Toby.
